I do see Dems and the whole coalition falling in to a trap this week with focusing only on immigration and the big penis parade instead of the big ugly bill making its way through the Senate without scrutiny or attention.
Agree. The legislation is far more important and destructive. Let the 14 people who care about the parade focus on it. Immigration is more complicated. Everyone in the abstract thinks something needs to be done to fix immigration and opposes illegal immigration. But even in red states, when your favorite waitress, landscaper, work colleague, high school soccer teammate, church member, etc., gets taken away in handcuffs by unidentified masked men, there's an uproar. Let it be spontaneous. Republicans will pay the price. Dems should focus on cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, Obamacare, etc.
